About & Visit

HICH Gallery began with a word — هیچ, hich — which means "nothing" in Farsi. But in Persian and Sufi thought, nothing is never empty.
It is the space before creation, the silence before a poem, the blank wall before a story is told. From that idea came our name, and our belief: where nothing becomes everything.
HICH Gallery is a family-owned business founded in Chicago by Bety Shahlaei, Fozhan Bozorgi, and Rojin Bozorgi — three women bound by family and by a shared love for the culture, poetry, and artistry of Persia. What started as conversations around a kitchen table about art, identity, and home grew into a gallery and brand that carries those roots into everyday life.
We create decorative wall art, clothing, and accessories rooted in Persian design — drawing from centuries of pattern, calligraphy, miniature painting, and Sufi symbolism, and reshaping them for modern spaces and modern wardrobes. Every piece we make is an attempt to bring a little bit of that heritage into the homes and lives of the people who wear or display it.
Based in Chicago, HICH Gallery is our way of building a bridge — between the culture we come from and the community we now call home, between generations of family, and between the idea of nothing and the everything it can become.
